Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent

Henley Business School is a globally ranked, internationally renowned business school and part of the University of Reading. The Projects & Engagements Team (also known as the Hub team) delivers and operationalises the calendars of events and activities for The Henley Partnership and for the Henley Centre for Coaching, as well as business development activities across the wider portfolio of the Corporate Development Division.

Due to the growth of activities within the Henley Centre for Coaching and the Henley Partnership, as well as an expansion of activities within Corporate Development, we are seeking to recruit an Events and Memberships assistant to join the team to provide additional support for our activities.

We are looking for an apprentice Events & Membership Assistant to join our dynamic, busy and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking to start their career in events and/or memberships – or similar customer-focussed roles – while working towards a Business Administration Apprenticeship (level 3). The successful candidate will join a friendly, efficient and inter-dependant team to support the administration involved with running our calendar of events, and in supporting our members to make the most out of their memberships.
As an apprentice, you will be supported in developing your confidence and skills for the role by the Projects & Engagements Team Manager and experienced colleagues in the team. You will be enrolled on the Business Administration Apprenticeship (Level 3 standard) provided by Farnborough College and run over 18 months. During this time, you will attend some face to face classes at the College and will generate a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate the practical skills you have acquired during your apprenticeship.

This is a permanent role with confirmation dependent on successfully completing the apprenticeship; opportunities for progression are then available both in the Projects & Engagement Team, as well as within the Henley Business School and the wider University of Reading.

This role is based at our Greenlands campus in Henley-on-Thames; transport to our training provider will be covered by expenses.

Please see the job description and person specification below for further information relating to the role, or get in touch with Daniel Wallace (see below) to discuss the requirements of the role in more detail.

Interviews to be held on a rolling basis.
