Trusted AI and Data Analytics

We’d love to hear from you if your work involves a connection to Trusted AI and Data Analytics. This might be related to our research groups, or maybe a new connection. Our current research groups are:

AI and Data Analytics: Our work allows humans to understand and trust AI systems and how we interact with them to co-create solutions. We study fundamental models and technologies to support this vision, and we also work closely with experts from a range of domain in health, finance and agriculture to deliver impact.

Strathclyde Information Science Research Group: We span the human-system information boundary, working across the areas of interactive information retrieval, information engagement, and information behaviour. We create information solutions such as retrieval systems, search interfaces, and conversational agents for domains such as health, professional search, and cultural heritage.

Cybersecurity Group: We build resilience for future societies in cybersecurity contexts. We take problem-driven approaches, working to understand people and organisations - their behaviours, experiences, and challenges online - in the face of current/future threats to identity, privacy, and security. We consciously take into account the needs of those who are disenfranchised.

Mathematically Structured Programming: We use mathematics to understand the nature of computation, and then turn that understanding into the next generation of programming languages. So if you are interested in the application of category theory, type theory, functional programming and logic to AI and Data Science, please do apply.

Digital health: We design, develop, implement, and evaluate real-world digital health and care solutions. We're driven by user-centred design and work in partnership with key stakeholders to create smart, data driven and connected digital health and care technologies that have a positive impact.

* Your Fellowship will normally be at lecturer level (exceptionally, at senior lecturer (Grade 9) (£54,949 - £61,823) where you have a strong track record in research leadership) for 5 years, with the expectation that you’ll meet our promotion criteria within that period and be transferred to senior lecturer (or, where you’ve been appointed as a senior lecturer, reader) level.
