WHAT WE DO
The SEND department is a specialist department within a large educational establishment, ensuring that as a college we meet the support needs of all of our students, work with parents, carers, many multi-agency, teams and young people to support the specific support needs documented in EHCPs in order to help young people fulfil their educational potential. This role requires someone with excellent organisation skills, strong abilities to be able to form and utilise networks beyond immediate terms, coupled with a good understanding of the SEND landscape and how support interventions may be undertaken for potential students with EHCPs going into any particular area of study.
