Salary: Starting salary is normally in the range £32,348 to £42,155

The postholder will provide professional leadership to a team of Wellbeing Officers across the College and act as a deputy to the Head of Education Services for wellbeing matters. They will motivate and lead the team in a culture of continuous development and innovation and ensure that robust systems and procedures are embedded within the College’s student welfare model and continue to be an example of best practice. 

The role will involve:

  • Providing specialist leadership for a group of College wellbeing officers; conducting 1:1s, PDRs, team meetings and overseeing training and development of the team.
  • Taking responsibility for consistent and effective service development, in conjunction with the College Head of Education Services and multiple stakeholders across the University.
  • Acting as deputy for the Head of Education Services, as appropriate, including writing and presenting reports to relevant College and University committees.
  • Monitoring the overall effectiveness of the service through maintaining a dialogue with academic colleagues and central services and in turn making recommendations for improvement and innovation.
  • Providing pastoral and study-related advice to students in the College, making referrals as appropriate to specialist services.
  • Developing and implementing efficient and appropriate systems for recording and managing student case work, reasonable adjustments, extenuating circumstances and ensuring effective integration of relevant policies and procedures within the College.
