The University of Liverpool is looking to appoint a technician to its Histology Shared Research Facility, part of Liverpool Shared Research Facilities (LIV-SRF) within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. The Histology SRF provides a co-ordinated and unified approach in meeting the needs of the University’s histology users, covering the entire histological process and processing tissues from a wide range of organisms. The Facility encompasses two well-equipped laboratories on main campus.
You will deliver an effective and efficient technical service within the Histology SRF, helping the Facility to deliver an excellent service to its users, which include internal staff and students as well as external clients. The role will be instrumental in the safe and efficient operation of the Facility, supporting technical and academic users.
Occasional communication with staff and students will be necessary on issues relating to the Facility, the technical services it provides and the equipment housed within it.
You will have a BTEC national Level (or equivalent) and relevant laboratory experience.
