Indicative scales; 2016 scale for doctors and dentists in training; £28,243 to £52,043 per annum (plus pay premia, where eligible).
Post-2009 Clinical Lecturer scale; £34,466 to £60,760 per annum
Liverpool has extensive internationally leading expertise in infectious diseases, clinical microbiology and antimicrobial therapeutics. This post provides an exciting opportunity for an individual with relevant research experience who wishes to pursue a clinical academic career in infectious diseases, clinical microbiology and antimicrobial resistance.
The research component of this role will be aligned with the research strengths of the new David Price Evans group in Infectious Diseases and Global Health at Liverpool, under Prof Alison Holmes.
You will have extensive experience in infection related disciplines and a demonstrable research interest in the challenge of infectious diseases and optimising antimicrobial use. You will demonstrate outstanding potential for development as a clinical academic.
You will have completed or are soon to complete a PhD in a relevant area (to be fully awarded in order to take up the post).
The post is available on a fixed term basis from June 2023 until June 2027 or until CCT.
Candidates must be able to take up the post before 30th June 2023. Interviews for shortlisted candidates are scheduled to take place in March 2023.
