We’re looking for an enthusiastic data analyst to join our small but passionate team of analysts and statisticians working with Oxford’s student and applicant data. We design, deliver and maintain a portfolio of data analysis and reporting for colleagues across the collegiate university, for public consumption, and to meet external reporting requirements.
As a Data Analyst, you’ll deal with a varied workload including coordinating and preparing the responses to Freedom of Information (FOI) and Subject Access Requests (SARs), responding to ad hoc requests, and supporting the delivery of a subset of the team’s portfolio. This includes maintaining and enhancing existing reporting and supporting others in the team to ensure a high-quality service across the whole portfolio.
We’re looking for candidates with strong data management and organisational skills alongside a keen eye for detail, experience of data analysis, and an understanding of quality assurance and data protection requirements. You’ll need to be a confident and effective communicator, with the ability to convey complex information to non-expert colleagues across the university.
Examples of the type of work you might be expected to undertake include managing a busy team inbox, triaging requests, supporting the maintenance of dashboards, and working with stakeholders to deliver high quality and accurate data outputs.
Experience working with higher education data (and particularly with SITS) would be helpful, but we are more interested in your technical expertise and willingness to learn and to think creatively.
We offer you:
The closing date for applications is 12:00 noon on Wednesday 4 January 2023.
Interviews are currently scheduled to take place on Wednesday 18 January 2022.
