We are looking to appoint an exceptionally motivated and experienced academic manager to be part of the leadership of the successful pre-registration education team at St Georges. You will have previous experience of managing placements within a clinical or educational environment and will be able to work autonomously to seek out new placement opportunities. You will manage a group of pre-registration staff, including both academics and support services, so a track record of leading and managing a team is essential. You will have excellent IT skills, able to manage spreadsheets, and utilise a range of electronic communication methods. You will also be asked to visit placement sites to perform audits, and to meet with students to discuss their experiences. As the placement lead you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the provision of paramedic placement and work closely with our range of external partners. Successful applicants currently employed as a Reader or Associate Professor will be employed as Readers, whilst Senior Lecturers with managerial experience you will be employed as SL’s and be expected to undertake the academic progression process with SGUL to gain the Reader position.
