The Faculty Web and Promotions Assistant sits within the Web Editing and Digital Media team, who are responsible the strategic development and management of the University’s corporate website www.essex.ac.uk.
Duties of the role
As a key member of the team your core focus will be on supporting the departments within the Faculty of Science and Health through the online and website promotion of their research and education-based activities. Ensuring their web presence maximises every possible opportunity to the audiences they are communicating with.
You will work within the Web and Digital Media Team sitting within the Communications and External Relations (CER) Section, and work closely with all parts of the University with the key aim of maximising marketing and communication opportunities for the Faculty and departments within.
Day to day duties and responsibilities include;
Skills and experience required
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience of writing for the web to a high standard and a good understanding of different online marketing opportunities.
You will have experience of managing a website, including content and working with established design and templates, along with knowledge of social media strategies and social media tools and platforms.
