Job summary

Our HR Staff Hub is a centralised hub of HR administrative and operational duties, so we can provide standard HR services in the most efficient way. The Hub is here to support our staff with any enquiries about working at Imperial.

We are now looking for an expert HR professional to lead a team of Advisers, Coordinators and Administrators delivering both HR transactional support and HR Advisory support to employees and managers throughout the College. It is critical that you help provide a high quality and consistent service that positively impacts our customer’s experience.

It is a lively and fast paced role at the heart of one of our most important HR teams at Imperial.

Duties and responsibilities

Key duties in this multifaceted, and high-profile role include:

  • To actively engage in the continuous improvement of our service and work closely with other HR teams and service users when process improvements are likely to impact on them.
  • To provide leadership to your team ensuring high levels of service are provided within defined SLA timescales. This includes ensuring resources within the team optimally prioritised to meet the needs of the College.
  • Take ownership of urgent or sensitive queries or incidents to ensure that they are dealt with effectively.
  • Ensure workflow processes such as the monthly payroll are actioned in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Assess the escalation of queries to improve frontline service and support.

Essential requirements

  • To be an experienced line manager
  • Experience of transactional HR operations, including meeting payroll deadlines, gained in a similar role in a busy and complex HR environment
  • Demonstrable experience of coordinating HR workflows and/or processes in an operational context

·       Experience of handling the expectations of service users

  • The demonstrable ability to provide support and direction to your staff and service users
  • An understanding of the importance of equality, diversity, and inclusion with a firm dedication to working in an inclusive manner
  • Be able to allocate work to the team in an effective manner, and ensure that resources are aligned to peaks in demand while meeting our service level agreements
  • The ability to take ownership of issue and query resolution

This is a full-time role requiring a minimum of 40% of your time at our office at our South Kensington and/or White City Campus.
