We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Mathematical Physics group to work on non-Lorentzian string theory and related topics.
The Opportunity:
This position will contribute to the Royal Society URF Renewal ``Non-Lorenztian String Theory’’ (URF\R\221038) held by Jelle Hartong. Research activities will be oriented towards exploring non-Lorentzian string theory and wider applications of non-Lorentzian geometry to gravity, and field theory.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- PhD (or near completion) in Physics, Theoretical Physics or Mathematical Physics.
- Experience of working with quantum (conformal) field theory, general relativity, string theory and preferably also holographic techniques.
- Experience in delivering research results in an academic context; e.g. a record of peer-reviewed journal and conference presentations.
- Capability to work independently, exercising a high degree of initiative and demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach to work
