Following record levels of student recruitment, we are looking to appoint a Senior Research Fellow to our expanding team of academics. You should bring with you a positive attitude, and desire to be part of a forward-looking department.
You will be a researcher who can build on the success of this work to help extend our engagement with practitioners and funders on these topics. Showing initiative, working with a wide range of stakeholders, and undertaking rigorous research work are all features of this role. You should be confident working independently and as part of a team, supporting and where appropriate leading a range of activities to support projects and bid applications.

About the Role & Department
Our research is focusing on sustainable operations, food, textile and plastic supply chains management, smart technology for supply chains, data analytics and AI for decision making.
Nottingham Business School undertakes research in broad subject areas of management, marketing, economics, human resource management, accounting and finance. Our research is intellectually rigorous and relevant to funders and practitioners. We received research income to conduct research in various areas of management including agri-food and short food supply chains, from British Council and Interregional North-West Europe. We are trying to expand our research in various areas of sustainability.
We are looking for a researcher with a PhD from a reputed University with strong research skills and research bid writing skills. We are particularly interested in someone who has set up networks and liaised with UK and global funders, with experience in research writing for funding applications. You will also have the opportunity to develop your own research trajectory. A background in operations management/operations research/sustainable supply chains/data analysis/IoT and AI would be an advantage, but other disciplines would also be suitable. Knowledge, or ability to learn Qualtrics, SPSS and/or SEM/LISREL, NVivo is also essential.
