The Faculty of Science is looking for a pro-active and self-motivated individual to join our Placements Team on a full time, permanent basis.
We place students’ personal development and learning at the centre of our work, using the expertise and knowledge of an inclusive and approachable team.
We care about student well-being, excellent service and University reputation.
Trust, care and our team’s work-life balance are part of our core values, resulting in commitment to our roles and each other’s’ welfare.
If this approach resonates with you and you feel you meet the essential criteria listed on the application, we would welcome an application from you.
We're looking for a good team player who also enjoys taking initiative and working independently.
You will be able to use your knowledge and initiative to manage and prioritise effectively the requirements of the role. Effective and professional liaison with internal and external contacts and the ability to establish good working relationships is an integral part of the role and so highly developed interpersonal and communications skills are essential.
Previous administrative experience is essential. Skills in the use of software used at the University (Office 365, Moodle, SAMIS and PowerBI) will be an added advantage. However, an interest in our work, a willingness to learn and become fully involved in the life of the team and the Faculty is what we are looking for.
Our placements team has a blended work approach, with opportunities to work remotely. With student learning at the heart of what we do, our placements team are expected to deliver in-person student support at our University campus, and all team members are required to work on campus for a minimum of two days a week.
For an informal discussion please contact Louise Oliver, Placements & Industrial Engagement Manager on L.Oliver@bath.ac.uk or 01225 387485.
