Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE) seeks suitably qualified candidates in Inclusive and Special Education to join our team to:  

• deliver high-quality graduate teaching and supervision in the areas of Inclusive and Special Education primarily on teacher-training programmes and education research in SHBIE;  
• design and develop modules with innovative instruction plans and assessment frameworks;  
• initiate and engage in impactful research and publications, and research-related activities such as conferences and seminars; 
• collaborate with academics and professionals within and outside UBD in impactful and innovative research; and 
• actively participate in the activities and development of the Institute.  

Academic and Professional Qualifications required:  

• PhD in Inclusive and Special Education or a related field from a recognised university (with specialisation in diverse learners with disabilities, curriculum, assessment and transition programmes in Inclusive and special education). 
• Outstanding record of research productivity and teaching excellence and teaching experience; 
• Experience in designing demand-driven programmes on professional consultancy basis for the government and/or private sector;  
• Ideally, three years of postgraduate-level teaching experience; 
• Ability to teach across specialisations will be considered an advantage
