About us: The School of Applied Sciences runs a number of BSc (Honours) apprenticeship programmes in Healthcare Science, which recruit students from across the country and are delivered through a combination of face-to-face and online teaching. This post will support the Healthcare Science degree apprenticeship (Clinical Engineering) by providing a key link between the University and employers. Working within a committed and enthusiastic team, the post holder will be responsible for supporting apprentices, colleagues, employers, and workplace (practice) assessors when undertaking tripartite reviews and reporting back subsequently. The post holder will comply with the governance framework for apprenticeships and be mindful of the requirements for Ofsted inspection of HE apprenticeship provision when undertaking the role.

The School of Applied Sciences is a very proud recipient of an Athena SWAN Silver Award and our commitment to creating a culture for gender equality is reflected in a number of ongoing actions related to workload management, flexible working and career development within the School.

About you: Candidates will be educated to degree level in a related subject area (or can demonstrate equivalent experience) and will have experience of working in a large, complex organisation, ideally in an administrative capacity. In addition, successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills and a solution-focussed approach to solving problems.

We are looking for candidates who align to the UWE values. Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate high level planning and organisational skills together with experience of motivating people and of collegiate working.

The successful candidate will be supported in this role by a mentor. The School provides staff development funds to support personal and role-specific training.
