We are recruiting a Research Laboratory Technician to support the operations of an exciting new rare diseases project. You will be working in a team and conducting molecular experiments on human biological samples whilst maintaining accurate records.

The Rare Diseases Phenotyping project is recruiting 1000 patients to participate in ground-breaking research aiming to drive forward diagnosis, gene discovery and mechanistic understanding for patients with rare genetic diseases. The pilot phase is now complete and to increase capacity we require an additional team member.

The post is available on a fixed-term basis until 30 November 2024 in the first instance. NIHR BioResource is funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) on a 5-year funding cycle. It has been announced recently that NIHR BioResource will receive new funding for the next 5-year period, and it expects contracts to be extended beyond November 2024.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 November 2024 in the first instance.
