Computer Science at DMU is ranked 151-200 worldwide in the Shanghai Ranking, and 201-250 in the THES World University Rankings due to the international nature and high relevance of its research. Alongside the university as a whole, we have huge ambitions for the future in terms of our offering to students and the quality and scale of our research.
The Cyber Technology Institute at DMU has the highest recognitions from the UK National Cyber Security Centre (part of GCHQ): Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research since 2019, and Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (Gold) since 2022 – one of only seven institutes in the UK to hold both of these.
