Background
Applications are invited for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on the ERC-funded INSENSE project, which investigates visual processing, reinforcement learning, and incentive salience. The successful candidate will work in the group of Dr. Clayton Hickey and employ MEG and pharmacology to study the impact of economic outcome on visual selection. They will have a proven track-record of top-tier research, as expressed in academic publications, including studies employing pharmacological challenge. The position is research dedicated, and the successful candidate will be involved in all stages of developing and conducting experiments, analysing data, preparing results, and presenting findings. This will include the preparation of high-quality academic publications and the presentation of results in national and international academic conferences. The successful candidate will be expected to play a role in the supervision of graduate students and to broadly support the goals of the Centre for Human Brain Health at the University of Birmingham.
