Professorship in “International Business and Management, focusing on Intercultural and Digital Competencies ” at Münster School of Business

What to expect:
  • You will teach Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses in intercultural management, leadership, and other related topics at the Münster School of Business.
  • You will particularly focus on intercultural and digital competencies, especially as they relate to leadership and teams in international contexts.
  • Courses will be taught in English.
  • You will be able to contribute your research expertise in an application-oriented way.
  • In addition to teaching, you must also demonstrate a willingness to expand and develop university com­petencies in inter­national­ization, and digi­talization by being a member of project teams and committees.
  • Last but not least, you will play an active role in academic self-government.
Your background:
  • Your expertise is underpinned by a degree and an above-average doctorate.
  • You also have extensive profes­sional knowledge in inter­cultural and digital competencies.
  • You have relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas: intercultural com­munication | multicultural teams & cross­cultural training | intercultural aspects of change management | business ethics in an international context | culture and work processes supporting innovation and digitaliza­tion | diversity and inclusion in digi­tal spaces | virtual teams and lead­ership | digital work, new ways of working | technology adoption
  • Academic expertise in these areas mentioned above is re­quired, in­cluding the ability to supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s degree theses. Academic publication record is expected.
  • Advanced knowledge of English is essential for this position, either as a native speaker or gained by working in an English­speaking environment outside of Germany for several years. Good knowledge of German is desirable.
  • Finally, you enjoy teaching and can motivate students and generate dis­cussion and learning.
