The Role
As an Hourly Paid Tutor, you will play a key role in ensuring our apprentices receive a high-quality and engaging learning experience. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of learning, teaching, and assessments, using innovative, learner-focused work-based approaches. This will include curriculum development and the design, enhancement, and organisation of learning, teaching and assessment.
You will plan, teach and assess across one or more of the apprenticeship standards delivered within CU Apprenticeships. Your work will directly help attract and retain learners through cross-campus collaboration and co-creation of relevant and modern curricula.

Our Successful Candidate
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate teaching experience at FE and/or HE level, including evidence of delivering innovative and engaging learning, teaching and assessment and supporting learners to be successful in their studies.
You will have a clear passion for your subject and a strong motivation to facilitate the learning of others, alongside the ability to deliver across a broad curriculum area with specialist knowledge in an appropriate field.
As Hourly Paid Tutor you will also require a high standard of oral and written communication and an ability to keep the learners’ perspective in sharp focus and a strong understanding of the needs of diverse learner groups and learner centric approaches.
The ability to work flexibly, and to deadlines to meet the needs of the service provided, including weekends and evenings as necessary, and at outreach sites e.g. London, Coventry, Scarborough, or within industry settings is also required for this role.
