About the role
The School of Education, Bath Spa University is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to the post of ‘Professor of Education and Research Lead’. Applications are invited from those who have the knowledge, skills and ability to enhance our research reputation and contribute across our diverse educational research domains. You may have specialist expertise in areas that are already established in the School of Education, within our four education-specific research centres, or in other specialist areas within the broad discipline of education. If you have a distinctive national/ international reputation in your field, want to take a lead role, and have proven experience of implementing meaningful change and development in higher education through research, we would like to hear from you.
The School of Education has made significant strides in real-world, impactful research, the majority of which is internationally excellent or world leading, and we now want to take this to the next level. This is a pivotal role that will lead the way in bringing together research, teaching and knowledge exchange excellence. We aim for our research to drive our curriculum design and for our curriculum and partnerships to support our research interests. Together, the professional and applied nature of our work will have significant real-world impact.
The post is available on a full-time basis and is based at our Newton Park Campus.
