This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Do you have experience in higher education admissions and the associated operational student processes? Do you have the communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with colleagues across the University and external partners? Do you have a commitment to delivering an excellent student experience?
The University has an ambitious strategy regarding recruiting international students for study at undergraduate level. The running of the University’s own IFY and the management of its two key strategic external partnerships are managed within the International Pathways Centre. These foundation pathways provide a crucial route for international students to progress to a range of undergraduate degrees at the university.
You will work closely with the Senior Admissions and SES officer to co-ordinate the admissions function of students from the University’s two key external International pathway providers, ensuring a high level student experience. You will also manage the operational aspects of these relationships in terms of student experience as well as supporting transition to Leeds. As directed by the Senior Admissions and SES officer you will also support admissions onto the University’s own IFY.
You will have strong communication skills and the ability to build excellent relationships with internal colleagues and external partners. With experience of providing support for international student admissions and education practices and processes, you will have the ability to identify and suggest improvements to the service provided.
You will be well organised, with excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to work. You will be able to multi-task and move between tasks at short notice to meet deadlines. You will work collaboratively with team members to share good practice and encourage knowledge exchange between colleagues to facilitate continuous improvement.
