The University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an Inclusive Support Advisor to work with our established Inclusive Support team; providing specialist disability and learning support to students with identified and sometimes complex needs, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to manage reasonable adjustments, inclusive practice, access to external funding and the co-ordination of support plans.
The post holder will also engage the wider university in awareness raising and learning support work, including staff training programmes, workshops, events and activities.
Joining our friendly Inclusive Support team within Student Services, the successful applicant will have significant post qualification experience working with individuals experiencing learning or disability related difficulties, including assessment of clients with complex needs, risk assessment and high risk/crisis management.
The successful applicants will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with a relevant professional qualification.
Knowledge of inclusive practice and disability legislation/policy, and experience of applying this in the workplace is essential, as well as having excellent time management, caseload management skills and experience of prioritising competing demands with minimum support.
