The Department of Psychology offers a vibrant academic community with an excellent teaching environment and opportunities for professional development of staff. Our Department comprises of four research centres/groups; the Quality of Life, Health and Well-Being Research Group, the Centre for Interaction, Development and Diversity, the Centre for Comparative and Evolutionary Psychology, the International Centre for Research in Forensic Psychology. Facilities include EEG, eye tracking/psychophysiology labs, virtual reality/motion detection labs, interviewing suites and a baby/infant lab. More details of our research groupings can be found here. Applications are invited for a permanent, full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Health Psychology. Preference will be for candidates who are HCPC-registered Health Psychologists (or working towards HCPC registration). We are seeking a motivated/collegial individual, to join a dedicated and expanding team to deliver high-quality teaching/supervision on our BSc Psychology and MSc Health Psychology degrees and should be engaged in high-quality research in Health Psychology. The successful applicant will contribute to administrative tasks within the Department.
Although the post is available as either a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Health Psychology, only one appointment will be made. Please note each post has a different person specification/job description. You should also indicate in the ‘reasons for applying section’ whether you wish to be considered for the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position.
