The Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) is seeking to appoint a specialist in Finance with expertise in Financial Management, Investment or Portfolio Management to join the Accounting and Finance subject group. The subject group’s portfolio currently includes undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Accounting, Finance & Financial Investment Analysis that contribute significantly to the subject group’s profile. In addition to onsite delivery, many of the group’s programmes and modules are offered through franchise and other Education with Others arrangements in the UK and internationally.
You will contribute to teaching across a range of the subject groups undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Finance and should preferably have significant teaching experience at HE level. You should have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to teach in relevant Finance subjects.
About You
Master’s qualification in a relevant discipline is essential, whilst a PhD and relevant industry experience are welcome. For this post we would particularly welcome candidates with an interest in CFA qualification. Experience of module leadership, distance and blended learning and learning technologies is important. The successful candidate will have a track record of teaching in Higher Education in this subject area and experience of facilitating technology enhanced learning. This post requires excellent communication and organisational skills, and a genuine commitment to continually improving the student experience.

The Faculty of Business and Law is the largest in the University of Northampton with around 200 academic staff and 5600 students. Led by a Dean, Deputy Dean and Associate Dean, we offer a broad portfolio of programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. We also maintain a number of successful academic partnerships in the UK and internationally through which several of our programmes are delivered.
