The role
Northeastern University London invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor in Finance & Accounting. The appointee will be teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students and provide service to the discipline in line with the evolving needs and aspirations of the Faculty and University. Appointments will be commensurate with experience and qualifications reflecting a record of demonstrated teaching and service excellence.
Core duties will include development and provision of innovative and inclusive teaching in relevant areas of Business at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and professional service commensurate to career stage. Preference may be given to candidates with active interests in the relationship of Business to one or more of the following areas: financial technologies, responsible investing, data-driven humanities and social sciences, sustainability, and ethics.
Preference may be given to candidates whose research demonstrably contributes to the Faculty’s priority areas. We particularly encourage applications from those with an interest in innovative teaching, learning and assessment; those with experience of supporting a wide variety of students; and those belonging to groups underrepresented in UK higher education. We are open to appointing on a reduced fraction/job-share basis subject to our business needs.
About the Faculty
The appointee will work in a multidisciplinary team within the Faculty of Social Sciences, and is likely to contribute to work across a variety of teams, both faculty and professional services colleagues, particularly in the entrepreneurship and educational innovation space. In the 2025/26 academic year, the Business and Project Management faculty team will comprise approximately 20 academic staff, working in a range of fields, including international business, marketing, accounting, organisational behaviour, financial technologies, sustainable business practices, and project management.
The Faculty of Social Sciences has approximately 70 academic staff, including academics in Economics, Politics and International Relations, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, and Design & Communication Studies.
