The Faculty of Business and Law is seeking to appoint a specialist in Accounting with expertise in Financial Reporting, Taxation, and/or Management Accounting to join the Accounting and Finance subject group.
The subject group’s portfolio currently includes undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Accounting, Finance and Financial Investment Analysis - all of which contribute significantly to the subject group’s profile. In addition to on-site delivery, many of the group’s programmes and modules are offered through franchise and other educational institutions in the UK and internationally.
You will contribute to teaching across a range of the subject groups UG and PG modules in Accounting and should preferably have significant teaching experience at HE level. You should have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to teach in relevant subjects (preferably but not limited to Financial Reporting, Taxation, Audit and Management Accounting).

About You
Master’s qualification in a relevant discipline is essential, whilst a PhD and relevant industry experience are welcome. For this post we would particularly welcome candidates with a professional accounting qualification, preferably ICAEW/ACCA.
This post requires excellent communication and organisational skills, and a genuine commitment to continually improving the student experience. Experience of module leadership and use of teaching technologies including those in distance and blended-learning are important. The successful candidate will also have a track record of effective teaching, research and/or other scholarly activities in Higher Education in this subject area.
