The role of the Business Analyst sits in the Project Management Office of the Governance division of IT. Overall, the primary purpose of the role is to champion innovation, continuous improvement and deliver business analysis value added activities across all areas of the University.
The successful candidate will develop efficient process models for new capabilities, provide appropriate challenge to existing processes, and be pro-active in anticipating and understanding business change needs and impact. You will develop a toolkit of business analysis techniques and standards to facilitate effective analysis and evaluation.
An important skill for this role will be the ability to build strong business relationships with key senior project and departmental stakeholders across the University, as well as external partners. You will also be flexible and pragmatic with the ability to tailor your style and approach to collaborate effectively with your stakeholders.
This is an opportunity to gain experience in supporting the delivery of a wide range of projects working across the University and be able to contribute to the ongoing development of the University’s business analysis approach. We offer a friendly, supportive team environment coupled with a hybrid approach to office/remote working arrangements. You will also be entitled to an annual leave allowance of 23 days (rising to 28 days after 5 years continuous service) plus bank holidays and 3 days paid University closure days, alongside a local government pension.
