The Active and Healthy Living Project aims to increase opportunities for physical activity within local communities in Loughborough.
We are seeking a Research Associate to work on the Active and Healthy Living project. The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of this project and will be expected to work closely with Charnwood Borough Council, local residents, communities and businesses and government departments to co-develop and test ways of increasing physical activity across different resident groups. The post-holder will carry out scoping work, intervention design, delivery and evaluation.
Applicants should have experience of planning, conducting, and evaluating physical activity and/or active travel interventions in community settings. You will have a PhD in behavioural science, human biology, sports science, public health (or a related subject), be able to work in and travel across Loughborough, and be willing to work outside of normal working hours (9.00am-5.30pm) such as three or four early mornings and early evenings and two or three weekends to collect data and implement interventions.
This full-time post is offered on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2025, with an immediate start.
