About the role:
City and Islington College has been training veterinary nurses for over 10 years and prides itself on delivering high class teaching and support with a professional but friendly approach. Our class sizes are small so we can provide the best learning experience whilst maintaining great rapport with each student and their training practice. Our students recommend the course to their peers and tell us that they enjoy their time at City and Islington College. We are looking to appoint a highly driven, registered Veterinary Nurse to a full-time position that will include lecturing on the veterinary nursing apprenticeships (0.6FTE) and act as a veterinary nursing coordinator (0.4FTE) for the apprenticeship provision, involving student reviews and training practice visits.
The role will be based in the Animal Academy at the Centre for Applied Sciences at our Angel campus.
You will hold registered Veterinary Nurse or MRCVS status, have relevant experience working as a veterinary nurse and experience teaching to apprentices. You will also hold, or be willing to obtain a recognised teaching qualification. You will be used to maintaining professional and quality standards, and keeping high quality documentation. The successful candidate must be able to work with a small, close-knit team, within the larger college environment.
