Derby College Group (DCG) are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to join our excellent Level 2 Animal Care department at Broomfield Hall. You will be required to deliver high quality, inspirational teaching which encourages learners to reach their full potential.
The Opportunity
You’ll participate in the resourcing and preparation of the course delivery and assessment, undertake course administration and internal quality assurance. You’ll also be involved in student progress and achievement including setting and reviewing of academic targets with learners and providing pastoral support.
As part of the role, you’ll take an active part in course related trips and visits, recruitment of students, open days and information evenings and supporting the work experience that students undertake as part of their course as well as ensuring that all college and awarding body standards are met.

About You
You’ll have proven experience of providing outstanding support for students and be dedicated to student achievement and quality. You’ll also have a strong background in small animal health, husbandry, health and safety and employability in the animal care industry. Experience of teaching and delivering the City & Guilds Technical certificate in Animal care at Level 2 is desirable and up-to-date industry CPD and experience is a requirement.
