About the Role
Due to the continued growth in Bioscience Research at NTU, a technician vacancy has arisen for a Senior Technician to oversee a suite of Tissue culture, Molecular Biology and Immunology research labs.
You will be working as part of a flexible and busy team of technicians spread across multiple buildings, the role will involve providing technical support to Masters and PhD students as well as Academics, across Oncology, Immunology and Therapeutics. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior technician with relevant experience, ideally with some experience in a higher education environment.
You will oversee and maintain a suite of labs, ensuring they are kept to the highest standard of organisation & cleanliness. You will be responsible for ensuring that equipment in the labs is maintained and enable researchers to undertake their work, from simple equipment (such as balances) to high spec instrumentation (such as fluorescent microscope, flow cytometers, nanodrop, nanostring
You will also be expected to be flexible and support colleagues and students in other areas of the School of Science and Technology, as part of a School-wide technical team.
