We are recruiting four positions for this role.
Main duties and responsibilities
The Digital Skills Facilitator will play a crucial role in supporting an expanded programme of digital skills development opportunities for staff and students. You will develop, adapt and facilitate a repertoire of training and development activity, through a mixture of purposefully designed learning materials, digital tools and provisioned educational resources and you will support a programme of in-person and online engagement opportunities. In addition, you will create guidance and content to support training sessions and workshops, including the creation of materials on the VLE (Canvas), and contextualising and packaging content on platforms such as LinkedIn Learning to facilitate staff and student skills development. You will create promotional content, such as training session descriptions, short videos, university intranet and social media posts to engage staff and students with training and development opportunities as part of the regular programme and special events and liaise with relevant teams and stakeholders such as HR Learning and Development and Marketing and Communications.
Skills and experience required
You will have proven experience in facilitating technology-based training sessions to small or large groups and to individuals as well as proven experience in providing excellent frontline digital skills support, ideally in an academic setting. Proven experience in the design and production of instructional guidance in a variety of media formats is also an essential requirement of this role.
Qualifications required
You will hold a minimum of a Degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject (Education, Educational Technology, Digital Technology, Multimedia, Information Technology) or experience of doing a similar job.
