A bit about Estates and Property Services…

Estates and Facilities has a vision to co-create excellent learning, working and living environments that fully engage staff, students, visitors and industry and that facilitates the sharing of knowledge and information.

Estates & Facilities Services Directorate is responsible for delivering a full estates and facilities management service to the University, including property maintenance, planned maintenance and renovation, cleaning, security, caretaking and facilitating spaces for our staff and students.

The Facilities Management team sits within the Estates and Property Service Division. Their core objective is to provide an essential and critical Facilities Management services across all campuses, to ensure the buildings and general estates are pleasant, fit for purpose and functional for all staff, students, visitors and all core business activities.

So, what is it you will be doing as a Building Attendant?

General cleaning duties including hoovering, dusting, moping and scrubbing.

You are the face of the Estates team and will need to be friendly and approachable, communicate clearly with team members and customers and maintain a high standard of cleaning in the areas you are responsible for.  You should have a good knowledge of H&S practices including COSHH.

As a Building Attendant you will work a 5-day week, Monday to Friday. The positions available are either 14.25 hours or 14.5 hours which mean you will either work:

Monday-Tuesday 6am – 9am & Wednesday-Friday 6am - 8:45am.

Monday-Wednesday 6am-9am & Thursday-Friday 6am – 8:45am.
