About the role
The Institute is seeking to fill a position in in International Politics or International Relations of the Americas at either the Lecturer level (equivalent of a U.S. tenure-track Assistant Professor position) or the Associate Professor level, subject to skills and experience.
The role holder will carry out research, teaching, and administration within the Institute of the Americas. They will contribute to the Institute's teaching provision in International Relations of the Americas, develop specialist optional modules, and make contributions to core modules, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. They will contribute to the academic management of the department by taking on responsibilities in relevant areas, and by contributing to UCL-wide working groups and committees.
This is an open-ended appointment which will commence on 1 September 2023.
About you
Applicants must have a PhD in International Relations and/or Political Science/Politics. They should have a track record or trajectory of internationally excellent publications in International Relations of the Americas, and proven experience of teaching and assessment at university level in International Relations.
We particularly welcome applicants with a research background in one or more of the following areas: migration, security, trade, international finance, global health.
