Salary: Full time starting salary is normally in the range £43,414 to £51,805, with potential progression once in post to £58,284. Grade 8
Academic Development Programme - new Assistant Professors will undertake a 5-year development programme, at the end of which they are expected to be promoted to Associate Professor. The programme consists of a variety of development opportunities and the time to reflect and develop.
Role Summary
We are seeking to recruit an outstanding new Assistant Professor in Whole Energy Systems Analysis to enhance the university’s energy research and teaching capacity. 2023 marks ten years since the Birmingham Centre for Energy Storage was formed with a £6m capital grant that has given the university a leading position in energy research in the UK. Since then, researchers at the university have attracted £10s millions of external funding to establish centres of excellence across multiple domains under the umbrella of the Birmingham Energy Institute (BEI).
