The Department of Physical and Life Sciences at the University of Huddersfield is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering to strengthen our growing research and teaching activities. Recruitment to our Chemical Engineering programmes has increased substantially in recent years, creating an exciting opportunity to help shape the department’s future.
You will hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering and have an established record of research and scholarship. You will be expected to develop a programme of nationally or internationally recognised research, secure external funding and build collaborations across academia and industry. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research complements and extends our expertise in industrial symbiosis, bioprocessing and biorefinery integration, while outstanding applicants working in other areas of chemical engineering are also encouraged to apply.
Through your familiarity with delivering undergraduate modules in Chemical Engineering within the UK or similarly accredited higher education systems, you will contribute to our teaching while bringing contemporary research and industrial practice into the curriculum. You will be able to support students through a range of teaching methods and approaches, helping to deliver a high-quality learning experience within a cutting-edge research environment.
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging.
