The university is developing a new ten-year strategy where digital ways of working will be central to delivering our vision and goals. The digital transformation will impact profoundly on our workplace design, the skills we develop, the way our students learn, and the way we work and collaborate, and we want to ensure that this transformation has our staff and students at its heart. Why our staff love working here

Summary of the role

We are seeking an AV Support Technician within Exeter IT, working between the Streatham and St Luke’s campuses.

The post holder will be part of a customer focused team of technicians providing excellent remote and in person AV/IT support services to enable room users to make the best use of the AV and IT facilities at their disposal.

You will have good technical knowledge and skills in IT and AV equipment and be able to prioritise team and personal workloads. You will need to work well as part of a team, be willing to learn and adapt your skills with the current technologies, and communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.

You will be reporting to the AV Support Team Leaders and work closely with other members of the team, and will support colleagues from other teams within the university. As the team provides support over two campuses, you will be required to drive the service van.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate professional customer service and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to show initiative and be self-motivated.
