About the role
We are looking for a talented, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic individual to join our collegial team and to help shape our exciting new provision in Interior Design. The successful candidate will contribute their expertise to deliver and further develop a range of modules on our BA (Hons) Interior Design course, and they will also contribute to learning and teaching across the wider Subject Area of Interior Design, Architecture, and Product & Furniture Design within Bath School of Design, where appropriate.
They will play an important role in developing the knowledge and skills of our undergraduate and postgraduate students, and work as part of the wider Bath School of Design team to provide professional mentorship, deliver robust assessment, appropriate student support, and overall maintain a high-level of learning and teaching supported by industry-informed expertise. Additional duties include assisting the Head of School and the School Senior Leadership team in enhancing the School’s curriculum portfolio, furthering relationships with employers and other relevant external parties, and more broadly pursuing opportunities to enhance the student experience.
Bath Spa University is focused on creative enterprise and guided by our four values of respect, inclusivity, collaboration and sustainability. We teach around 8,000 students on a set of campuses around Bath, with most being located at Newton Park, including a listed Georgian house and grounds, or Locksbrook Road, our new city-centre art and design campus, which houses well equipped dedicated studios and workshops. Our research centres focus on creative industries and humanities.
Our purpose is to challenge our students and staff to realise their talent and thrive, for their own benefit and for the wider good. By doing this we will think and make the world better.
