Location: College Lane, Hatfield
The Student Records and Enrolment team is responsible for student registration/enrolment processes across the University as well as the maintenance of central student records in full compliance with university and legislative requirements.
We are currently operating a hybrid model, when on campus your working location will be based our student hubs on both the College Lane and De Havilland Hatfield campuses. Remote working from within the UK is applicable depending upon service needs and associated on-campus demands. The demands of the role will require on-campus working during key periods of the academic year (including Semester A and B registration/start of term).
Main duties and responsibilities
You will lead the team of administrators to deliver a positive on campus and remote registration experience for students, ensuring that students are registered on their programmes in a swift manner, whilst ensuring any on campus interaction adds value to the student experience through effective planning and resourcing.
The role will ensure all registration related data is validated and accurate, enabling the University to obtain clear student population data, whilst ensuring the University meets its statutory data obligations.
You will line manage the team and be responsible for the end-to-end staffing experience, including recruitment and selection, induction, performance appraisal and management. You will also be required to deliver activity to increase resourcing during registration with seasonal staff.
Experience and skills required
You will have previous experience of working in a supervisory role, within an administrative context, with experience of working in Higher Education being beneficial.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to deal with challenging situations with tact and diplomacy. You will have a range of IT skills, including the use of conferencing and collaboration tools and Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications required
Holds Degree or equivalent, or significant professional experience in a related field.
