The School of Health & Society
The School of Health and Society - a forward-thinking school with a commitment to lifelong learning and real-world impact. Our School of Health & Society is one of the largest providers of nursing, midwifery, social work and allied health professional education programmes in the UK, known for our track record of collaborating with a wide range of industry partners across health and social care to produce highly skilled graduates with real work experience. The School of Health and Society provides education at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-qualifying levels.
We want you to join our team and work with us creating the professionals of the future, we successfully train and develop students for careers in the modern world and our students regularly gain employment in their speciality on graduation. We are home to a £2 million simulation centre, a counselling and well-being clinic; a podiatry and sports rehabilitation service and are proud to have the Institute of dementia and the UK's first doctoral training school in podiatry in our school.
So, what will the role involve?
The school is seeking to employ a Clinical Educator for the Nursing Associate Apprenticeship programme. The programme has been developed to train nursing associates to bridge the gap between qualified nurses and healthcare assistants. This new role has the potential to transform the nursing and care workforce to help us meet the diverse health needs of the people we look after, be it in Hospital, at Home or in the Community. We have created an innovative and creative programme of study that you will have the opportunity to help develop and deliver. From March 2020 cohort we have expanded into learning disability services, primary and social care organisations. We are particularly keen to hear from nurses working within learning disability services to complement the existing team of nurses from adult, mental health and children & young people nursing fields of practice.
Please note, a DBS clearance might be required for this position.
