Are you an experienced digital media scholar with a passion for teaching? Do you have theoretical and practical skills in creative and digital media industries? Are you interested in developing your teaching skills in a world-leading media school?
The School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds is a highly ranked department with a vibrant research culture and a commitment to excellence in teaching. We are ranked in 4th in the UK for Communication and Media Studies (Complete University Guide 2022) and 22nd in the world for Communication and Media Studies (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022). In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework 86% of our research was judged to be either ‘world leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’.
The School seeks to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching & Scholarship) in Digital Media to join us from March 2023 to contribute to teaching provision in digital media. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic digital media scholar to apply their skills to teaching students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Students on the School’s BA Digital Media and MA Digital Media undertake a challenging mix of research-based and practice-based learning, equipping them with the knowledge and skills that support careers in the media industries and beyond. You will have up-to-date knowledge of digital media scholarship and some experience in digital media practice.
