Key Information
Salary: Dependent on relevant Postdoctoral experience. Future progression is based on annual performance review. If the candidate has not yet been awarded their PhD, the starting salary will be at £34,344 until the successful completion of their viva.

Job Details
Under the leadership of Richard Houlston we are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Training Fellow in Statistics to join the Cancer Genomics Group. The appointee will conduct analyses of genome wide association studies, phenome-wide association studies and complementary biostatistical approaches to gain insight into the aetiological basis of cancer and inform precision medicine. The post holder will benefit from access to in house large-scale dataset complemented by those of international collaborators.

Key Requirements
The successful candidate must have a PhD in statistics or related discipline.
The ICR has a workforce agreement stating that Postdoctoral Training Fellows can only be employed for up to 7 years as PDTF at the ICR, providing total postdoctoral experience (including previous employment at this level elsewhere) does not exceed 10 years.

Our Group is embedded within the Division of Genetics and Epidemiology at the ICR’s Sutton Branch. Teams within the Division of Genetics and Epidemiology are researching a variety of aspects aimed at deciphering the aetiology and biology of several different cancer types. The post holder will benefit greatly from the highly supportive and interactive research environment and state of the art computing facilities.
