We are the Health Informatics Centre (HIC) at the University of Dundee. We are a large, diverse, technical team delivering solutions for our clients and solving research data problems for the Tayside and wider Scotland research community. We maintain, manage and enable access to NHS Tayside and Fife data in a safe and secure environment.
We are looking for you to join us as a Senior Research Software Engineer to work within our Research Team. The HIC Research Team is leading several national infrastructure and data projects such as PICTURES, Scottish Medical Imaging and Alleviate. You will be involved in these and other projects via your role leading the open source Research Data Management Platform (ROMP) infrastructure.
Based in Ninewells Hospital, one of Europe's largest teaching hospitals, the School of Medicine provides outstanding medical education and training supported by world class research facilities. This post allows for flexible working either from home, hybrid or the post holder will have office space available.

You will be working as a Senior Research Software Engineer within the research team, where you will be primarily supporting the requirements of ROMP. As a senior research software engineer you will be expected to take a role in the design and implementation of solutions including non-functional aspects such as performance, security, testability and compliance in addition to functional aspects.
