We are recruiting a Tutor in The Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences to work on a Fixed Term basis of 24 months. The Tutor will support our education strategy by delivering high quality, vibrant teaching, enhancing the overall student experience, coordinating work experience opportunities and helping to develop confident and capable graduates. The Tutor should have knowledge and experience of current developments in sport sciences, particularly sport development and sport sociology.

New teaching spaces provide a unique range of sports performance facilities, human movement laboratories and clinical imaging for detailed investigations of athletes, patients and the general public. The Candidate:
We welcome applications from candidates with a PhD in Sport Sciences (or having submitted the thesis) and clear experience of teaching and/or supporting the student journey in Higher Education. The successful candidates will work from the new Institute of Sport building and the Platt Lane Sports Complex, but will also access facilities across the wider university and our partner sites.

In recognition of staff contributions to the University's achievements during the 2021/2022 academic year, an additional discretionary payment of 2% per annum will be added to your salary until 31/07/23 in order to ensure consistency amongst existing and incoming staff. This additional 2% will be paid pro rata in equal monthly instalments, on top of your salary each month until 31/07/23.
