Leeds Business School (LBS) at Leeds Beckett University brings together a range of related subject areas including Accounting and Finance, Business Strategy, Economics, Human Resources Management, Marketing, Journalism and PR in a dynamic city centre setting, with a growing research, knowledge exchange and student community.
With a long-standing reputation for small business support and an established profile for producing related publications, outputs and impact activities, we aim to be a leading centre for entrepreneurial education and SME development, research and impact in the UK.
To further strengthen our research and teaching portfolio, in line with our strategic objectives, we wish to appoint a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development to lead the School’s SME development strategy and grow our research, teaching, KE and Small Business Charter activities.
Candidates should be outstanding academics with a demonstrable record of internationally recognised outputs, high-quality teaching and experience in leadership roles. They should have a doctoral degree in a business-related subject and a proven record of success in small business engagement, innovation and/or entrepreneurship. They will be able to show experience of delivering applied research activities and managing large-scale collaborative projects, as well as a keen understanding of the policy landscape, industry trends and funding opportunities.
This successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to the vibrant research culture and knowledge exchange activities across the School.
