The School of Mathematics invites applications from academics who have an excellent research record, an aspiration to obtain external research funding and a passion for delivering first-class inspirational teaching and supervision in a top School (in the top 10 REF2014, ranked 9 for research power in REF2021) in a research-intensive UK University.

As a Lecturer, you will carry out research, teaching, and management within the School, Faculty and University and contribute to academic leadership in a field represented by, or with the potential for strong interaction with, one of the research groups in the Department of Pure Mathematics. For appointments at Associate Professor Level, you must also be able to demonstrate international standing in your field, a track record of successful and substantive grant applications, the capacity to deliver an outstanding student experience and an ability to undertake successful academic leadership.

With a vision and drive to develop a prestigious internationally competitive research portfolio as well as a passion for undertaking research-led teaching, you will make a significant impact on the performance, stature, and profile of research and student education at the University of Leeds. You will have a PhD in Mathematics or a relevant discipline.
