We're looking for a brilliant Communications and Engagement Manager who can help bring our research to life for varied audiences, including academics, policymakers, NHS staff, patients and the public.

Our talented staff and fellows lead diverse high-quality studies to advance the field of healthcare improvement studies from improving maternity safety to the reduction of NHS carbon emissions. Our fellows are funded through our highly regarded fellowship programme. Investing in our fellows is key to growing capacity and capability in healthcare improvement research, a core ambition at THIS Institute. Adept at understanding and making technical content easily accessible, you'll be able to share insights from our fellows' research projects and a range of other THIS Institute work.

As part of an innovative communications team, and working collaboratively with the fellowship team, the Communications and Engagement Manager will play a crucial role in maximising the impact of our work and growing our reputation for first-class research. You will lead communications planning, creation of impactful and original content, and engagement activities for our fellowships programme plus for a range of communications and research projects.

You'll be an experienced communicator who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment and thrives on working across a wide variety of projects. You'll enjoy building relationships, particularly with our fellows past and present, to share learning from their fellowship projects and continue to engage them in our vibrant community.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2027 in the first instance.

The position is full-time, part-time applications will be considered for a minimum of 0.8 FTE. 

Location - Department of Public Health and Primary Care, Strangeways Research Laboratory, Worts Causeway, Cambridge CB1 8RN (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre)
