De Montfort University (DMU) is an ambitious, truly globally-minded institution with a relentless focus on delivering high quality teaching and research. A culturally rich university with a strong commitment to the public good, it strives to maintain a stimulating, innovative and inclusive environment where staff and students are able to thrive.
Faculty / Directorate
The International Directorate is an energetic and dynamic part of the university, consistent of two distinct functions: Translational Education (TNE) delivered by the Global Partnerships Unit, and international student recruitment, led by the International Office. We focus on raising our international profile and global connectedness, which is demonstrated by DMU continuing to be a much-desired choice for our international students.
Role
This is a fixed-term role (or secondment opportunity) for 12 months or until the return of the substantive post holder, whichever one is soonest. As an International Partner Relations Officer, you will strengthen the team by providing an attentive level of customer service to our partners and recruitment agents, whilst remaining diplomatic and professional at all times.
The role combines the internal focus on developing and maintaining systems and processes to adhere to the university’s quality and compliance standards, in areas such as finance, procurement and legal, with the external focus of managing a number of relationships with agents and partners to enhance international student recruitment opportunities.
Ideal Candidate
You will have excellent customer service and networking skills with the ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You must have impeccable attention to detail in all outputs produced, be proactive and have the ability to work independently whilst building a strong team culture.
You should be comfortable in a busy environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines seamlessly. You will be able to follow internal policies and guidelines, and sector specific requirements within operations and activities involving vendor due diligence, procurement to payment (P2P) processes and contract management. You will have experience in developing systems and processes and knowledge of international higher education landscape would be an advantage.
