The School of Accounting, Economics and Finance are seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate as Senior Lecturer, who has an international research profile and can contribute significantly in the delivery of high quality and student-centred education across our taught (UG & PGT) and PGR courses.
The position holder will contribute to the School’s research profile by producing world-leading and internationally excellent publications, generating R&I income and impact, and contributing to the School’s REF submission.
The role will focus on delivering high quality teaching and student-support in a variety of formats, developing inspiring module materials, learning activities and innovative curriculum, and participating in administrative/academic management tasks as required. The successful candidate will supervise both taught and research students and contribute fully to the life and work of the School/Faculty.
While we welcome strong applications in any field of accounting, preference will be given to candidates who: (i) have an interest/expertise in Data Analytics and/or Forensic Accounting in the context of modern-day accounting; and/or (ii) hold accounting professional qualifications and/or senior professional-accountancy experience in industry.
The appointee will be expected to fully engage in the ongoing development of the School’s research and teaching profile by maintaining a personal programme of research-cum-scholarship, and will be supported with mentoring and opportunities for professional development.
